Lesson 1:

Photo Editing 

 Image editing comprises the processes in altering images. Digital photographs, illustration or traditional photochemical photographs. Traditional analog image editing is also known as photo retouching, it uses tools to edit, modify or transform images.

Graphic Software Programs

1) Raster Image
            are in a form of a grid of picture of elements or also known as pixels. These pixels contain the image's color and brightness information. Also pixels are needed to have a complete image.

            Raster Image types: JPEG, GIF, PNG



2) Vector Graphics
          it uses polygons to represent images in computer graphics. Vector image is also known to be more easier to modify than raster image for it contains the descriptions of the shape for easy rearrangement.

           Vector Image types: EPS, AI, PDF




3) 3d Modelling (Modelling)
               develops a mathematical representation of any three dimensional surface of an object (inanimate or animate) viz specialized software.

          3d modelling image type: .3ds, .fbx 



Photo Manipulation
Transforming an image to another. 
         Photo manipulation involves altering and transforming an image or photograph using various methods on an editing software e.g. Adobe Photoshop. It uses complex techniques and various methods in transforming and image to your desired results.
